The maintenance of electric tricycle can start from the following six aspects.
1. Correctly grasp the charging time. It is best to charge the battery once when the discharge depth is 60% - 70%
2. It is strictly forbidden to store the battery in the state of power loss, which means that the battery is not charged in time after use. When the battery is stored in the state of power loss, it is easy to sulfate. The lead sulfate crystals attach to the electrode plate, blocking the electric ion channel, resulting in insufficient charging and reduced battery capacity. The longer the power loss state is idle, the more seriously the battery is damaged. Therefore, when the battery is idle, it should be recharged once a month to better maintain the battery's health.
3. Avoid high current discharge When starting, carrying people and going uphill, please use your foot to help, and try to avoid instantaneous high current discharge. High current discharge will easily lead to lead sulfate crystallization, which will damage the physical properties of battery plates.
4. Preventing the environment with too high exposure temperature will increase the internal pressure of the battery and force the battery pressure limiting valve to open automatically. The direct consequence is to increase the water loss of the battery. Excessive water loss of the battery will inevitably lead to the decline of battery activity, the acceleration of pole plate softening, the heating of the shell during charging, the bulge and deformation of the shell and other fatal damage.
5. Avoid plug heating during charging. Loose charger output plug, oxidation of contact surface and other phenomena will cause the charging plug to heat up. If the heating time is too long, the charging plug will be short circuited, which will directly damage the charger and cause unnecessary losses. Therefore, the oxide shall be removed or the connector shall be replaced in time when the above conditions are found.
6. During the regular inspection, if the running range of the electric vehicle suddenly drops by more than ten kilometers in a short time, it is likely that at least one battery in the battery pack is short circuited, such as broken grid, plate softening, plate active material falling off, etc. At this time, it is necessary to go to a professional battery repair organization for inspection, repair or assembly. In this way, the service life of the battery pack can be relatively prolonged and the expenses can be saved to the greatest extent.
